At RFI Seals and Gaskets, we offer two types of mouldings – compression and injection mouldings.
Compression moulding begins with a material being placed into a mould. The material is then heated till it becomes soft and pliable. Pressure is then applied (hydraulic, mechanical, etc.) to form the shape required.
Injection moulding begins when a liquid is forced into a mould then cured. A variety of plastics are used including Thermosetting and Thermoplastic.
